John Mulaney recently shared that his wife, Olivia Munn, staged a "mini-intervention" to support him in his addiction recovery journey. The comedian, who battled addiction to drugs like Klonopin and Xanax, spoke to "GQ" about his ongoing recovery and the support he’s received from Munn, who was six months pregnant at the time. Mulaney admitted, “There was a time when I would have told you that I could not fly, sleep, or perform unless I had a Klonopin.” Reflecting on his journey, he described an “insane” night when he thought he might die from his substance use, only to find himself repeating the same behavior days later.

To help keep him on track, Munn suggested conducting random drug tests, which Mulaney found empowering rather than invasive. “It’s like a relief … I like to be able to not even have that be a question in her or anyone else’s mind,” he said. “Something about peeing in that cup is like, I’m walking this walk. It gives me confidence.” Their relationship, which began in 2021, has been a source of stability for Mulaney, who called Munn “incredible” for her unwavering support. The couple now shares two young children, further deepening Mulaney's commitment to sobriety and family.
