A DC man is celebrating after doubling his lottery prize money.
The DC Lottery says a man identified as Phillip H. claimed $500 thousand in the Lucky for Life drawing in August.
A second person was also a winner, but lottery officials said that the winner hadn't come forward.
It turns out the second winner was also Phillip H., who says he always buys two lottery tickets so he can double his prizes.
He didn't claim the second prize right away because he had misplaced that ticket.
