  • Heed evacuation warnings and move inland if you're in a region that's supposed to get hit by the storm.

After wreaking havoc in the Bahamas, Hurricane Dorian continues to head towards the Southeast U.S.

Thought it's been downgraded to a Category 2 hurricane, it's expected to move off the coasts of Melbourne and Daytona on Wednesday morning. It'll then head towards Jacksonville by Wednesday afternoon and reach Savannah, Georgia, that night. It'll bring hazardous winds and possibly deadly storm surge.

By Thursday, it's possible that Dorian could make landfall in the vicinity of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Even if it doesn't make landfall, the Carolinas will still likely experience dangerous winds, flooding and storm surge, including the possibility of up to seven feet in the South Carolina coast and southern part of the coast of North Carolina.
