Cardi B. Wins $1.25 Mill In Court Win

Cardi B scored a huge win in court, after a judge awarded her $1.25 million in damages as well as medical expenses of $250,000 in the lawsuit against celebrity gossip blogger Tasha K.

Tasha claimed that Cardi was a prostitute who used drugs and contracted sexually transmitted infections in her work.

The federal jury found Tasha Kebe, host of Youtube's UnWineWithTashaK, liable on two counts of slander, one count of libel and one of invasion of privacy.

"My Husband, Attorney’s, & I fought really hard. I want to thank them for their long hours and sleepless nights. Winos it’s only up from here. See y’all in a few days. Back to work." Tasha Tweeted.

During her court appearance, Cardi said that Kebe was “obsessed with slandering” her and using her name to get views for her content.

Earlier this month, the high rise fire at the Twin Parks North West in the Bronx, New York, that killed 17 people, found a little saving grace, as Cardi B stepped in to help cover the cost of funeral and burials for the victims.

“I cannot begin to imagine the pain and anguish that the families of the victims are experiencing, but I hope that not having to worry about the costs associated with burying their loved ones will help as they move forward and heal,” Cardi B stated. “I send my prayers and condolences to everyone affected by this horrific tragedy.”

Cardi B partnered with The Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City to cover the expenses.

Fat Joe has now also joined with The Mayor’s Fund to provide relief for the victims who were impacted by the fire.

“No matter where I go in the world or what I achieve, I could never forget my community,” Fat Joe stated. “I had to react, but I couldn’t do it on my own.”

Fat Joe raised 1 million dollars along with the help of other celebrities such as Jay-Z and Dj Khaled.

“We have so much more to raise,” he stated. “These people have real lifelong issues with emotional [and] mental distress.”

Prayers to the victims.
