A 10-year-old boy in Odenville, Alabama, is being hailed as a hero after saving his younger sister from a devastating house fire. As flames engulfed their home early Saturday morning, Xane Davis realized his eight-year-old sister, Mia Adams, was still inside. Without hesitation, he ran back through the thick smoke, found her in the hallway, and led her to safety.

The fire destroyed the family's home, leaving 11 relatives displaced, including two in wheelchairs who had to be carried down the front stairs. Fortunately, everyone made it out of the house safely thanks to Xane’s bravery. His grandfather describes him as a “super kid,” and Xane says he wasn’t scared or worried about himself, he was just focused on saving his sister.

Now, the community is rallying around the family, collecting donations at the Odenville Magistrate’s Office to help them rebuild. Xane and Mia have grown even closer through the experience, and, despite the loss, their family is grateful that everyone made it out alive, thanks to the young hero’s quick thinking.
