Offset is requesting a judge to approve spousal support from his soon-to-be ex-wife Cardi B.
According to a report TMZ published on Thursday, May 29, the former Migos rapper filed an amended response to the divorce proceedings earlier this month, which now contains a request for funds from Bardi. He doesn't demand a specific amount, but it appears that he wants to make sure the request was included. Offset recently requested joint custody of their three children and asked to make Cardi's home the kids' primary residence. He also asked for both artists to pay their respective legal fees.
Cardi B and Offset officially split last year after months of speculation. The "Bongos" rapper filed for divorce in August shortly before she gave birth to the couple's third child. Despite reports that accused Offset of not supporting their kids, Cardi B actually defended 'Set from the deadbeat dad allegations.
Unfortunately, the estranged couple got into several arguments that spilled onto social media. At one point, Offset accused Cardi B of cheating on him while she was pregnant. However, Bardi denied the claims and slammed him in a series of posts on X.
"Yeah he is [the father of their children] that's why I don't wish him death.. but I truly hate this dirty ass narcissistic piece of s**t.... And his family and his friends never check him that's why he always going to be a piece of s**t of a person," she wrote last October.
As of this report, Cardi B has not responded to Offset's demand.
