Cam'ron and Ma$e are finally teaming up for a brand-new project and Killa Cam is already showing fans what to expect.
On Wednesday, March 19, the host of It Is What It Is took to Instagram and posted a snippet from his new "Tupperware Freestyle." Cam begins by shouting out Ma$e, born Mason Betha, before he raps about notorious kingpins from Harlem including Rich Porter, Bumpy Johnson and Kevin Chiles over a dope instrumental produced by ADM Beatz. In the caption of his post, Cam confirms the song is a "small sample" of his upcoming joint project with Ma$e called Willie Burgers (The EP).
"Harlem Fact check season," Cam wrote. "Sorry Muder, I had to give them a small sample. Willie Burgers (The EP) July 4th. I’m from old Harlem. Where the dirty kitchen was open pass 12pm. Maybe I’ll drop the full song on @talkwithflee 2mr morning. We got so many joints in da stash."
It's been two years since Cam'ron last dropped a project. In 2023, the Harlem native delivered his mixtape The Lost Files: Vol. 1 with eight songs including a collaboration with Styles P. He served up a couple of tracks since then. However, Willie Burgers will be Cam and Ma$e's first musical collaboration since they dropped "Gorilla Lion Hyena" with Jadakiss in 2022.
This isn't the first time Cam mentioned his joint project with Ma$e. Last April, The Diplomats rapper told fans that he and the Harlem World artist made numerous songs together. He would've released them, however, he claimed Ma$e wouldn't allow him to drop them.
"Them s**ts is hot too," he said at the time. “I ain’t gonna front, he got some real, real, real good songs. What he holding onto them for? I can’t answer that."
It seems like Ma$e is finally ready to drop his album with Cam along his own solo project. He recently announced his plan to release his first solo LP in over 20 years. He said he wants to debut it on the first day of Sean "Diddy" Combs' sex trafficking trial, which begins on May 5. Ma$e said the follow-up to his Welcome Back LP will be a three-disc album with songs Cam personally selected.
Look out for Willie Burgers (The EP) out on July 4.
