6ix9ine has sued L.A. Fitness nearly two years after he was attacked by several men inside the gym's locker room.

According to a report TMZ published on Friday, January 17, the New York native's legal team recently filed paperwork in Palm Beach County, Fla. in which they allege the gym's location in Lake Worth didn't do enough to protect him from being savagely beaten by three men. His attorneys say the gym did not have proper security on-site and its staff wasn't properly trained on security protocols. Their client claims the staff didn't immediately call police after they found out about the fight.

6ix9ine alleges the gym's negligence led to the gruesome brawl inside the gym's locker room. The three men, who are allegedly members of the street gang Latin Kings, walked into the sauna area and began to beat him up. In a viral video of the fight, you can see the men striking 6ix9ine while he held his arms up to cover his face. 6ix9ine says he was assaulted, robbed, and suffered from serious injuries to his jaw, ribs, and back. The three men — Rafael Medina, Octavious Medina and Anthony Maldonado — were later arrested and charged in connection with the fight.

In his lawsuit, 6ix9ine says he also endured disability, humiliation, bodily injury, pain and suffering after the fight. He's suing the gym for $1 million to cover medical expenses, loss of income and diminished quality of life.

As of this report, the gym has not commented on 6ix9ine's lawsuit.
