Jim Jones seemingly addresses Cam'ron's recent rant in a preview of an upcoming song.
In the early hours of Tuesday morning, January 14, The Diplomats rapper posted a snippet of his unreleased song produced by Statik Selektah. Jones starts his verse by encouraging fans to "remind 'em who you are" in the face of adversity. He continues to open up about his "truth" and boast about the work he's put in over the past two decades. Afterward, fans say Jones disses Cam after the Harlem native emphasized how Ma$e taught him how to rap in his viral response on It Is What It Is.
"N***as talkin' bout they outside but they put everything on a post," Jones raps. "So what more you wanna ask 'em?/You n***as taught me how to rap, now I'm platinum."
Jones' snippet comes less than 24 hours after Cam'ron fired back at his former collaborator in a 15-minute response on his sports talk show. Co-host Ma$e and Treasure Wilson a.k.a. "Stat Baby" scarfed down some popcorn as Cam called Jones a "fan" who never truly came up with him in Harlem. He also addressed Jones' comments about his previous discussion with 50 Cent and claimed he thought it was cool because the "We Fly High" rapper made up with all his former opps.
“I didn’t think it would be a big deal because you make up with every n***a that put hands on you,” Cam said. “I see you with C-Gutta from Junior M.A.F.I.A. I see you taking pictures with Tru Life. Mendeecees, y’all having sit-downs. Gunshots were let off with that! Y’all having sit-downs to work it out... You tried to chase French Montana out the game and that didn’t work out, so y’all got cool. So cool that you go to his movie. You’re sitting in the crowd watching the premiere and they dissing you in the movie!"
Jim Jones doesn't seem to be fazed by the ongoing issues between him and Cam. He defended his past comments in his caption and even teased a new album coming soon.
"I said wht [sic] I said," he wrote. "after they laugh at th [sic] lies th [sic] truth still hurts. Back to work album dropping asap lol 'At Th [sic] Church Steps' the album & the movie 🎥 Why would I waste free promo got me trending I’m tryin to drop lol 😂"
