CLEVELAND - Ricky Rubio will be back in a Cavaliers uniform according to numerous reports including NBA-ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarnowski.Rubio, who turns 32 in October, has agreed to a three-year, $18.4 million deal.

Rubio was acquired by the Cavs from the Timberwolves a year ago for Taurean Prince, a 2022 second round pick and cash. He was off to a great start in the 2022-2023 before he suffered a season ending injury when he tore his ACL on December 28th.

The Cavaliers traded Rubio to the Indiana Pacers as part of the Caris LeVert deal a month after he was injured in a salary cap move for both teams. Ironically, both Rubio and LaVert will be teammates on the Cavs this coming season.

Rubio was born in El Masnou, Spain and led the Spanish ACB League in steals during 2006-2007 season and was the Europe player of the year in 2007, 2008 and 2009. He was drafted by the Timberwolves with the 5th pick in the 1st round of the 2009 draft.
