Two Ohio State Football Players Suspended Over Rape, Kidnapping Charges

 Amir I. Reip, Jahsen Wint

Two football players from Ohio State University have been suspended after they were charged with rape and kidnapping.ย Jahsen Wintย andย Amir Riep, both 21, were arrested after authoritiesย accused them of raping a womanย in their shared apartment in Columbus.

Authorities say that the encounter between the victim and Reip started out consensual, but the woman changed her mind and asked to leave. At that point, Wint entered the room and asked to join. The two men then held her down and took turns having sex with her.

Officials said thatย the pair forced the woman to record a videoย falsely claiming that they engaged in consensual sex. They told her to take a shower before allowing her to leave.ย

Both men were taken into custody and are being held at Franklin County Municipal Jail without bond.

Ohio State issued a brief statement saying thatย both players "have been suspended from all activitiesย involving the football program."
