Good & Bad News For Bill Cosby

Bill Cosby got both good and bad news this week in the legal department. Let’s go with the bad news first. Janice Dickinson can proceed with her defamation lawsuit against Bill. She’s suing because he and his team called her a liar when she accused him of raping and drugging her.

The Judge is also allowing 5 other people to testify that claimed he did the same thing to them..OUCH!

The California Supreme Court rejected Cosby’s request to overturn an appeals court decision that favored the former supermodel. She not only wanted the court’s permission to use certain documents to support her case, she also wanted to add his former lawyer, Marty Singer, as a defendant. Wednesday’s ruling will allow her to do all that.

Now for the good news – judge in Pennsylvania ruled that only five of the women who’ve accused Cosby of assaulting them can testify at his upcoming trial. Prosecutors wanted 19 women to take the stand to prove a pattern of behavior. In this case, he’s charged with drugging and molesting Andrea Constand. Their first trial ended with a hung jury after almost 60 hours of deliberations. Jury selection starts on March 29th.
