Remembering The Notorious B.I.G. Christopher Wallace May 21st, 1972 - March 9th, 1997.
We're remembering the life and works of The Notorious B.I.G. Christopher Wallace was born in 1972 and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Also referred to as, Biggie Small, he was a trailblazer in the hip hop scene and a dominate figure in the uproar of East Coast hip hop. Studio albums include, Ready to Die (1994) with hit singles: "Juicy," "Big Poppa," and "One More Chance," and Life After Death (1997) released just weeks after B.I.G.'s death.
The Notorious B.I.G.'s death stunned the world and forever changed the hip hop industry. Many industry greats mourned the loss of Biggie Smalls including Mary J. Blige, Queen Latifah, Run-D.M.C., Busta Rhymes, Lil' Kim, and more. Even as time goes by, the loss is felt just as strong as rappers and artists share their memories each year on the anniversary of his passing (see below).
