So much for the self checkout trend.

Walmart is the latest retailer scaling back on the idea of eventually having no cashiers.

The retail giant is physically pulling many self-checkout machines from some states.

They won’t go away but Target and Dollar General are other stores that are walking them back a bit.

Walmart says customer feedback is the reason for the change.

"We believe the change will improve the in-store shopping experience and give our associates the chance to provide more personalized and efficient service."
